Rheinfelden: New bridge over the Dürrenbach in Rheinfelden – temporarily set up traffic lights at pedestrian crossing

As part of the construction of the new bridge over the Dürrenbach in Friedrichstraße, not only were the asphalt milled off and parts of the sidewalk removed, but the lighting masts for the pedestrian crossing were also temporarily dismantled.

When the lighting was restored after the construction work on the bridge was completed, the Freiburg regional council informed that the lighting masts for the zebra crossing were accidentally offset by around 30 centimeters. As a result, if the pedestrian crossing were to be marked, it would be too narrow.

In order to enable pedestrians to pass safely at this point until this shortcoming has been corrected, a pedestrian traffic light is expected to be temporarily set up on Friday, February 26 – according to a message from the regional council.
