Rheinfelden: From June 15: Friedrichstrasse (Bundesstrasse 34) in Rheinfelden closed for six weeks – Freiburg regional council replaces old culvert under the street – diversion via the outer ring

Because the passage through the Dürrenbach has to be replaced due to age, the Friedrichstrasse (B 34) in Rheinfelden (Baden) must be closed at the Aral petrol station / Josefstrasse. For preparatory work, the two lanes of Friedrichstrasse must be narrowed from Monday, June 15th. Traffic lights will be set up for pedestrians. From Monday, June 22 to the end of July, the area will be completely closed, traffic will be diverted via the outer ring (B 316, L 143), according to a press release from the Freiburg Regional Council (RP). The construction work will take about eight weeks in total, of which the road will be closed for six weeks.

A remote-controlled traffic light will be installed for the fire brigade and access to the petrol station. The petrol station remains open.

Friedrichstrasse must be broken open or milled in the area of the culvert. Lines and cables from energy suppliers and the city are also being relocated. As soon as the new culvert made of prefabricated parts is installed, the pavement will be restored, the RP continues. After the work on Friedrichstrasse (B 34) has been completed, further adjustments are carried out in the stream bed that do not affect traffic.

The construction costs are around 600,000 euros. The RP points out that the schedule is very tight and can only be kept in good weather.
