On Thursday, January 26, 2023, at around 7:25 a.m., a 53-year-old car driver drove into an articulated lorry in front of him. The truck drove on, the 53-year-old’s car was no longer roadworthy and had to be towed. The 53-year-old was driving in the right lane of the A 98 autobahn coming from the Hochrhein autobahn triangle in the direction of the Lörrach-Ost autobahn junction when, near the Dultenaugraben bridge, he noticed a braking semi-trailer truck driving in front of him too late and drove into it. Nobody was hurt. The property damage amounts to around 8,000 euros. The Weil am Rhein traffic police are hoping for information about the semi-trailer truck, as several vehicles are said to have driven behind the 53-year-old. The traffic police will take tips on 07621 98000.
