RFW 3rd day: Stockmann X Miia Halmesmaa

The play with unlimited lines, lush shapes, colors and different materials is what characterizes the collections of Finnish designer Miia Halmesmaa, which are produced from high-quality ecological materials. The women’s fashion collections seen on the RIGA FASHION WEEK catwalk were demonstrated hand in hand with masculine urban fashion for men. The style of the show will be created by the talented brand Volga Vintage founder and stylist Sergejs Hatanzeiskis, who has already proven himself several times in creating fashion shows, including with the department store Stockmann.

“For me, design means playing with materials, and it’s really inspiring to see how the same fabrics always turn into something completely unique. In the new collection, I dispel the myth that the most comfortable clothes are sportswear. On the RFW catwalk, everyone will see flowing products made of fabrics with sparkles and ribbons, which will be completely wearable and comfortable in everyday life. I pay special attention to sustainability in my creations, so I also use surplus materials during the creation of collections,” says designer Miia Halmesmaa.
