Another last minute change to “Double or Nothing” has occurred due to injury, as Rey Fenix is being replaced in the Casino Ladder Match.
AEW tweeted Friday night saying Fenix will be replaced in the match by Joey Janela. Luckily, the wrestler is not expected to miss significant time away from the ring.
In case you missed it, Fenix’s attempted dive to the outside went bad Wednesday night on Dynamite after the wrestler landed hard on the floor instead of being caught by the wrestlers beneath him.
Joining Janela in AEW’s Casino Ladder Match are Orange Cassidy, Darby Allin, Colt Cabana, Luchasaurus, Scorpio Sky, Frankie Kazarian, Kip Sabian and a surprise entrant. The winner of the match receives a future AEW World title match.
In case you missed it, Britt Baker also suffered an injury on Dynamite this week which caused her to be replaced in her match at “Double or Nothing” against Kris Statlander.
The video of Fenix’s missed dive can be found below.
