Central Java (Central Java) Governor Ganjar Pranowo said he contacted all the leaders of the Central Java DPRD regarding the discussion of the Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD). He asked for an evaluation of the proposal in the RKPD before it was decided.
This was communicated by Ganjar after the opening of Central Java Provincial Porsadin VI in the Kudus district square on Thursday (3/11) night.
“Alhamdulillah, some friends of the council, including all of my leaders, contacted one by one and said, we are ready, sir, we have resolved,” he said in a written statement on Friday (4/10/2022).
Currently, the discussion on RKPD called Ganjar is still ongoing. According to him, there are still things that need to be evaluated before making a joint decision.
“If today’s discussion is still ongoing, yes, the decision has not yet been taken. Only yesterday I asked for an evaluation of the existing proposals,” said Ganjar.
Some of the things that Ganjar pointed out were the uneven distribution in the cities / districts, particularly in relation to the business of the council. Hence, the budget focus issue, which he assessed, should be suppressed for priority issues.
“I also ask that in the midst of this unfavorable situation we can save money and be able to concentrate. Any budget we spend on them can be managed. For example, we need to (end) poverty, let’s go to poverty, we have to fix HDI so to target the budget which is not too important here “, he explained.
Previously reported, Ganjar was criticized by Central Java DPRD members because he was believed to rarely attend plenary meetings, thus delaying the discussion of the RKPD. However, Central Java secretary Sumarno said the discussion took a long time because the Central Java DPRD proposed an additional Rp 92 billion in the budget.
According to him, the budget of Rp 92 billion was used for the official travel of the council members. If you observe that the official travel for council members per month is 29 times or 29 days, it means that for almost a full year the council members are always out of town for business visits.
“One month, it’s only 30 days, but the official travel is 29 days, so the governor is highlighting it, it’s appropriate, it’s appropriate sir, please communicate with the council, it can be shortened for people’s priority programs.” , Sumarno said quoted in a written statement on Thursday (3/11).
