Gazelle Wind Power, a revolutionary floating wind technology start-up, is preparing to take a giant leap forward with the unveiling of its “enhanced design” lightweight steel semisubmersible concept. The company’s third-generation platform is set to be a game-changer in the industry with its emphasis on cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and overcoming supply chain bottlenecks. Measuring 74 meters across, the flagship Gazelle platform is ready to house a 15MW turbine weighing in at 2,700 tonnes, equivalent to the semisubs equipped with 8.5MW machines on the 25MW WindFloat Atlantic project. By aiming for a fully operational flagship off Portugal by 2025, Gazelle is set to establish itself as the next big thing in floating wind technology.
