Revolutionizing Chronic Kidney Disease Treatment with Curespec’s Nephrospec Shockwave Technology – Promoting New Blood Vessel Formation and Restoring Damaged Tissue Function in CKD Patients

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) affects around 37 million Americans and 800 million people globally, according to the American Kidney Fund and research from the University of Tennessee. Despite over a million people dying from CKD annually, treatment options have remained largely unchanged for over a decade. Currently, the only practical solution is dialysis, which reduces patients’ quality of life. However, Curespec, founded in 2020, has developed a solution to this problem. Their first product, Nephrospec, utilizes patented shockwave technology to promote new blood vessel formation and restore damaged tissue function, offering a potential treatment solution for CKD.

In animal studies, Curespec’s electro-Hydraulic Acoustic Therapy (eHAT) has proven effective in stimulating somatosensory receptors, upregulating vascular endothelial growth factors, and easing inflammation and fibrosis in tissues such as bone, muscle, heart muscles, and kidneys. This technology can attract stem cells into injured kidneys for tissue repair. Curespec’s multinational Phase I clinical trial is currently underway in the Philippines and two hospitals in Israel, with seven more centers planned across Europe and the United States.

Avner Spector, the founder of Curespec, has high hopes for Nephrospec. His dream is to delay dialysis for CKD patients by at least two to four years and potentially even extend this therapy to treat diabetic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, and kidney transplants. The eHAT technology has even proven effective in reducing blood pressure and the likelihood of stroke, making it a promising solution for the global high blood pressure and CKD market. With its potential benefits for healthcare and patients, the team at Curespec is committed to making this therapy available worldwide.
