Revolutionizing AI-powered Media Creation: io.net Partners with KREA, Receives $30 Million Funding

Decentralized computing network io.net, which recently received $30 million in funding, is partnering with artificial intelligence-driven design platform KREA. The collaboration promises to revolutionize AI-powered media creation by harnessing the computing power of io.net GPUs for KREA users.

With the global shortage of GPUs creating challenges for AI operations, this alliance couldn’t come at a better time. io.net will supply KREA with NVIDIA A100-80Gs GPUs using the Kubernetes framework, which is a staple among machine learning engineers, for seamless integration.

As the adoption of artificial intelligence continues to rapidly increase, so does the demand for GPUs, exacerbating the global shortage. KREA, renowned for its real-time AI image and video creation capabilities, will now have access to NVIDIA A100-80Gs clusters thanks to io.net. This strategic move not only addresses KREA’s computing needs, but also leverages io.net’s market-leading rates, which are 70% cheaper than the industry average, according to Investing.com.

This partnership marks a significant expansion for KREA, whose client list already includes industry heavyweights such as Nike, Apple and Meta. By providing computing power for its artificial intelligence initiatives, KREA is solidifying its position as a leader in generative art, Investing.com reported.

In the announcement, io.net emphasized its commitment to fostering a two-sided computing network where AI startups thrive while making efficient use of idle computing power that benefits GPU owners such as crypto miners. With ambitions to expand its network to cover one million GPUs, io.net aims to empower customers to solve AI/ML computing tasks on demand.

“By embedding GPU providers and consumers, io.net provides a two-sided computing network. In addition to allowing AI-based startups to flourish, this arrangement ensures efficient use of idle computing power, allowing GPU owners such as cryptocurrency miners to increase revenue. Ultimately, io.net aims to build a network of one million GPUs, enabling its customers to perform AI/ML computing tasks on demand,” the company said in a statement.

KREA’s appeal lies in its ability to offer a diverse range of AI-powered image and video creation tools that include over 2,500 machine learning models. This functionality meets the needs of design agencies and global brands, facilitating rapid content creation at scale.

With competitively priced io.net GPU computing resources, KREA is poised for accelerated growth and improved scalability. Access to NVIDIA A100-80GB clusters at a fraction of the market average rate – $0.89 per hour compared to $3 per hour – ensures that KREA remains competitive in the market while reducing operating costs.

With a decentralized network of over 300,000 GPU vendors in 139 countries, io.net has cemented its status as the world’s largest AI-focused Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN). By providing cost-effective and scalable computing solutions, io.net aims to facilitate the use of idle computing power and optimize revenue for GPU owners.
