The commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards aerospace branch said on Saturday “total responsibility” of the drama of the Ukrainian Boeing 737 shot down near Tehran by Iranian armed forces on Wednesday.

“I take full responsibility” of the disaster, said Brigadier-General Amirali Hajizadeh, in a television statement. “I would have preferred to die rather than witness such an accident”, he added.
No fire order due to “jamming”
The missile operator who shot down the Ukrainian Boeing on Wednesday in Tehran fired without being able to obtain confirmation of a firing order due to telecom “jamming”, Amirali Hajizadeh also said on Saturday.
The soldier flew for a “cruise missile” and he had “10 seconds” to decide, added the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards aerospace branch.
