“About half and half. I’m filming Surgery, I’ve played a couple of touring shows with the Broadway Theater. Sometimes I have a week off, then I shoot. But I’m slowly getting into the process. I’m glad it’s slower. “
What was the return to the studios of the Surgery in the Rose Garden series?
“We all have to walk in veils or shields. But otherwise it’s fine. It’s just still measuring our temperature now. So it happened to me once that I had 37.3. I was terrified. “
Did you find out why?
“They say it’s from the air conditioning, but I kept running around to measure it if I was fine. Fortunately, it went down quickly. I was scared because it was weird. I don’t have temperatures at all. “

Has the filming changed in anything else?
“It simply came to our notice then. We all have compulsory tests for Covid, it looks different there: we have separate places to rest, to eat, in the make-up room, the actors are separated by plastic partitions. The locker rooms are only for one actor, everything is still being sterilized … “
You have been filming the surgery for 15 years. Have you never had a submarine?
“I had big breaks in the show, so I always came back over time. But it was never like banging one part after another. The surgery is such a pillar for me, it reassures me from behind, and most of all I like the role of bartender Lucky. The whole staff is such a family for me. “

Do you even recognize yourself in the first parts, which keep repeating themselves?
“I only watch TV when I iron. But a few times it happened to me that it was just running. I was really surprised. I had weird hair, but I was so cheerful. Like good, but I don’t want to look at myself much, not even now. “
So if you were to compare these two Ivanas…
“I went there so clean, cheerful and very energetic. Because of what happened to me in my life, I was probably more disappointed … sadder … more boring. But now I feel like after those 15 years I’m going back to the girl who was before. However, it is more mature and not so straightforward. Although I can still look at someone as a babe, but I also realize bad things, I’m just going against them with humor. “
Does yoga, which you like to practice, also play a role?
“Certainly! I consider it the greatest salvation of my soul and body. I believe that when I take care of my body and clean it, it takes away even the bad thoughts. Whenever I felt sick, I felt good after yoga, no matter what happened to me. “
Do you also heal by meditation?
“I’m trying. Sometimes it works, but I’m not so consistent in this. Only when something is happening do I try to calm down. But there are times when I’m very scattered and I’d love to get in greater harmony. As I am hypersensitive, I react terribly to everything unnecessarily. But I was born that way, so I’m working on it. Meditation calms me down, it’s extremely liberating. “
