Revolution in DNA testing, identifying 6,000 deadly genetic diseases in days

Gunem.id – A “revolutionary” test that can quickly identify thousands of life-threatening childhood diseases are spread across the UK.

Using a screening tool geneticdoctors can diagnose life-threatening diseases in children, from cancer to cystic fibrosis.

According to health experts, this simple blood test quickly finds errors genetic in the patient’s DNA, thus speeding up treatment and saving thousands of young lives every year.

The test is the result of a successful project involving 20,000 children earlier this year, inspired by the son of former Prime Minister David Cameron.

The head of the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), Amanda Pritchard, called it the beginning of a “new era of genomic medicine”.

In the UK, more than 1,200 children and babies undergo intensive care each year, some of which undergo extensive testing, which can take weeks to produce results.

But this new test can determine if a child has any of the 6,000 ailments genetic checking their DNA.
