“Revolut Rolls Out BTF to All European Economic Area Customers, Offering Access to More Than 100 ETFs”

Revolut, the financial super app with more than 29 million customers worldwide, today announced the rollout of BTF to all its customers across the European Economic Area. From today, Revolut customers will have access to more than 100 BTFs across the EEA, with a minimum investment of just EUR 1.

BTF stands for Exchange Traded Funds and offers clients a simple and flexible way to diversify their market exposure. These funds invest in a wide range of securities, such as stocks or bonds, and save clients a lot of time and expense compared to investing in each security individually. BTF is an attractive option for clients who want to invest for the long term and do not want to get too personally involved in trading.

Starting today, Revolut will offer comprehensive BTF coverage for emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, hydrogen and big data, as well as established industries such as video games, forests, electric vehicles, clean energy or cloud computing, as well as traditional industries such as technology, health care, energy, travel and leisure and biotechnology. The offer will cover most global indices, including the S&P 500, NASDAQ, DAX and FTSE. Users will be able to diversify their portfolios by investing in BTFs, which cover not only stocks, but also bonds and commodities.

With Revolut, investments are available to everyone: the minimum investment amount in BTF is only 1 EUR. In the Revolut Management Center, by tapping on the Assets tab, customers will be able to move the funds they want to invest in BTF. Users can check their BTF activity in real-time with online watchlists, trading charts and market news, all available in the Revolut app. Depending on the plan, customers can make 1 (Standard), 3 (Plus), 5 (Premium) or 10 (Metal) free transactions per month. If the free limit is exceeded, a variable fee of 0.25% (min. 1 EUR) will be applied for each transaction. Revolut also applies a custodial fee of 0.12% per annum of the market value of the user’s assets, which is charged monthly.

Roland Juteika, Head of Wealth and Trading (EEZ) said “Our aim is to continue to expand our wealth and trading product offering. The launch of BTF follows the successful launch of Revolut Securities Europe UAB’s trading unit and the expansion of its US-listed shares across the EEA last March. In addition to this, we will soon introduce a wide range of other investment products, including EEA-listed shares, mutual funds, bonds, Robo digital advice platform services and a more sophisticated trading platform for advanced traders.”
