Jakarta –
Nabidz wine went viral because it was claimed to be a product halal. Now the halal certification for wine products has been revoked by the Ministry of Religion’s Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH Kemenag).
The revocation of this halal certification was carried out after BPJPH conducted an investigation. The revocation of this certification was carried out on August 15, 2023.
“For the violation committed by the business actor with the initial ‘BY’, BPJPH has imposed sanctions in the form of revoking the halal certificate with number ID311100037606120523 with the Grape Juice product as of August 15, 2023,” said Head of BPJPH Muhammad Aqil Irham in his statement, Wednesday (23/23/2020) 8/2023).
At the beginning of this halal wine went viral, the Ministry of Religion had indeed stated that it had never given Nabidz halal certification.
Certification is known through a self-declare mechanism with Halal Product Process (PPH) assistance carried out by the PPH Facilitator.
Manipulated Certification
Aqil Irham stated that there were unscrupulous business actors and assistants in the halal product process (PPH) who were suspected of intentionally manipulating data on Nabidz halal certification applications.
The Ministry of Religion will also impose sanctions on PPH assistants with the initials AS, who are suspected of having committed these violations. The Ministry of Religion revoked the registration number of the PPH companion.
“Meanwhile, for violations committed by the PPH Companion with the initials ‘AS’, BPJPH has imposed sanctions by revoking the Registration Number of the PPH Companion,” said Aqil.
