Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmouk, CEO of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Center for Heritage Revival, stressed that strengthening the national identity of our children starts from the family, through school, to the community and to the extent that our people show their adherence to authenticity Emirati values and customs, the more we have succeeded in instilling a system of civilization of values among our children.
This took place during a symposium organized by the Cultural Council of His Excellency Hanif Hassan Al Qassim in Dubai entitled “Reviving Heritage and National Identity”, in the presence of a group of researchers and those interested in the heritage of the Emirates and some characters public.
Bin Dalmouk quoted the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s saying that his soul rest in peace: “He who has no past has no present or future”, stressing the need to adhere to our national identity and our popular heritage while taking into account the global development experienced by the state at various levels, where attention and work must be concentrated on sowing We will build within each Emirati home and provide all the necessary support for family cohesion, which is the starting point , where the family has the most important role in this sense, and to the extent that siblings and parents are close in terms of life, family relationships and kinship, the more we have a cohesive and interconnected family and society, which will positively reflect on cohesion social, as it constitutes the main and most important pillar of our journey to revive heritage and preserve our national identity .
The symposium witnessed the recall of a number of poetic and historical positions of specific situations and incidents that have passed through the history of the state and, in this regard, bin Dalmouk said that poetic systems play the most important role in documenting many things. in the history of our country, and can be considered as reliable lessons and references in underlining some news and historical events that were not. It has only been documented by counting the poem, some of which are more than 400 years old, in which it cited the names of regions and people within a specific historical narrative. He helped us at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Revival Center to document and check many things.
Bin Dalmouk also underlined the great role that the Shaabiyat have played in the heritage and history of the country, as he was of great importance in enriching our historical, cultural and heritage experience, through the abundant information he provided on our first people such as these Shaabiat have received special attention from our founding and current leaders.
