Revival” proposes to eliminate the paper ballot. This foresees a bill for changes to the electoral code submitted by the party, its press center announced.

It is also proposed to remove the numbers on the ballots and the screens behind which the vote is taken. The proposed amendments aim to limit the bought, controlled and dependent vote to the maximum extent, the petitioners argue.

Among the proposals for the correction of the electoral legislation is that in EU countries, up to 20 sections should be formed outside the diplomatic and consular representations of Bulgaria.

Another amendment provides that only one electronic application can be submitted from one IP address through the CEC website and that the possibility of submitting electronic applications from the CEC website from the territory of Bulgaria will no longer be available.

“Vazrazhdane” has also included changes regarding the selection criteria for CEC members, related to their managerial and professional experience. They add the condition of political independence of the candidates – absence of occupied party functions or active political activity in a period of three years for the candidates to become part of the CEC, reports BTA.

Kostadin Kostadinov’s party announced changes to the Electoral Code at the beginning of November, with their main goal being to preserve the integrity of the vote of Bulgarian citizens.
