At the end. That’s what they say, right? Well, the rule definitely applies to this one Venice Film Festival 2023characterized by the total absence of Hollywood stars, held back across the ocean by the strike for the trade union struggle which sees them engaged in claiming their rights.
Among the very few exceptions to this forced absence of American stars, one stands out for its irrepressible splendor: that of Jessica Chastainwhich arrives in the lagoon on the penultimate evening of the festival to accompany Michael Franco’s film, Memory.
If for the day’s photocall she wears a t-shirt with a slogan in support of the strike for which she is spokesperson on the Lido, for the evening red carpet she shows off one of those dresses that are difficult to forget.
For her, an armor of sequins in the color of bronze and copper, in perfect harmony with her tawny hair, which plays in a divine way with the darkness of the night and the violent lights of the spotlights. In other words: we had to wait 10 days for such a show, but it was totally worth it.
