Ministry of Manpower (Ministry of Manpower) said that his party would issue a new Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) related to Old Age Security (JHT). This is to revise the Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 2 of 2022 concerning Procedures and Requirements for Payment of JHT Benefits.
“We will of course follow the direction of the president to make revisions,” said Secretary General of the Ministry of Manpower, Anwar Sanusi CNNIndonesia.comMonday (21/2).
Anwar said the Ministry of Manpower would revise Permenaker No. 2 of 2022 taking into account the points submitted by workers. However, he admitted that he could not elaborate further on which articles had the potential to be changed.
“We will review all (input from workers). Later it will be clear what articles and verses need to be revised,” said Anwar.
Later, the Ministry of Manpower will issue a new Permenaker to replace Permenaker No. 2 of 2022.
Jokowi also ordered the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and the Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah to revise the rules of the JHT game. This was conveyed by the Minister of State Secretary Pratikno.
Jokowi asked the Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 2 of 2022 to be revised so that JHT can be easily taken by workers when they experience termination of employment (PHK).
“The president has ordered that the procedures and requirements for paying JHT be simplified, so that JHT funds can be taken by individual workers who are currently experiencing difficult times, especially those who are facing layoffs,” said Pratikno.
On the other hand, Jokowi asked workers to support a conducive situation amidst the pros and cons of the latest JHT regulations. This is needed in order to maintain the investment climate, so that it can open up more quality jobs.
“The president also invites workers to support a conducive situation in order to increase our competitiveness in inviting investment,” said Jokowi.
For information, the latest JHT regulations invite a lot of negative reactions from various parties, especially the workers. The Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI) has even sent an official letter to Jokowi to cancel the regulation.
In addition, a worker in the iron industry, Redyanto Reno Baskoro, also sued Article 5 of the Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 2 of 2022 to the Supreme Court (MA).
The article reads “The benefits of JHT for participants resigning as referred to in Article 4 paragraph (2) letter a and participants being terminated as referred to in Article 4 paragraph (2) letter b are given when the participant reaches the age of 56 years”.
