Reviews of new Radeons are in the world, what’s the point?

We may be particularly interested in how much performance we can expect from the Radeon RX 6950 XT, 6750 XT and 6650 XT cards and whether they are worth up to $ 100 at all. As usual, the TechPowerUp server was among the first to prepare six new cards and three RX 6950 XTs. We can choose from them slightly overclocked Sapphire Radeon RX 6950 XT Nitro+ Pure.-

At the same time, it seems that 18Gb / s of memory, higher GPU cycles and a higher TBP limit have really benefited the new card, and many eyebrows can be raised above the following results.

In many cases, we see a significant increase in performance compared to the original Radeon RX 6900 XT, which sometimes fades even what the RX 6900 XT itself offers compared to the RX 6800 XT.

On average, the new hi-end from AMD offers ten percentage points higher performance in 4K than the RX 6900 XT, which is actually a significantly larger difference than between the RX 6900 XT and RX 6800 XT. As the resolution decreases, this difference disappears a bit, which may be due to the performance of other components (CPUs). But even so, it is considerable and it can certainly be said that, given the price increased by $ 100, it is adequate even taking into account that the Sapphire card is slightly overclocked.

It is similar in the case MSI Radeon RX 6750 XT Gaming X Trio, which is 7 or 8 percentage points more powerful than the basic RX 6700 XT. This allows it to wedge between RTX 3070 and RTX 3070 Ti in Full HD and in 1440p it is at the level of RTX 3070, which quite corresponds tests from AMD. –

MSI Radeon RX 6650 XT Gaming X should show that the RX 6650 XT showed the smallest increase in performance of all three innovations, given that the recommended price is only $ 20 higher than the RX 6600 XT. Here, however, it distorts the overclocking of the card a little more, however, we can still say that the difference is really lower and in this test it is only 5 percent in all resolutions.-

In 4K, the RX 6650 XT reaches the level of RTX 3060 and in lower resolutions it is better, because there is somewhere between RTX 3060 and 3060 Ti (or between RX 5700 XT and RTX 2080).

So it looks like AMD has managed to revive its range of Navi 2x cards at the end of their era, even though their specifications didn’t look like it. The crown of the most powerful game graphics in 4K, however, remained the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti card, but in lower resolutions the Radeon RX 6950 XT has the upper hand.
