REVIEWS: Exemplary served advantages of Rammstein

It was not the first hundred of the German six in May in the Czech capital. Last Wednesday and last Friday, she invited several hundred members of her fan club to the same place and offered them the same performance as Sunday. The fourth will take place at the same place on Monday night.

Seeing Rammstein’s concert is a top experience in many ways. They go to the Berlin band because of its unmistakable sound, the strong, even theatrically marching rhythm, the songs, which in its expressively limited rank they managed to write to a hundred so that they still have quite attractive elements, and the special expression of the singer Till Lindemann.

Of course, there was also a magnificent visual presentation, which captivated from the moment the spectator entered the complex and saw a huge stage with three towers towering high in the sky. The band’s whereabouts on this scene actually looked very small.

At the beginning of the concert, black smoke billowed into the space, which after a while was replaced by falling black confetti, and later a lot of pyrotechnic and light effects were added. In this respect, a different spectacle was prepared for each song, while the visual component had several highlights.

For example, during the remix of the song Deutschland, when five characters in costumes with white light edging danced on the stage and guitarist Richard Kruspe, the author of the remix, managed everything musically from the electronic counter. During Mein Teil, singer Lindemann flooded a flamethrower under a huge cauldron, in which keyboardist Christian “Flake” Lorenz trembled with fear, and fire arrows flew over the heads of Du hast, and after the piano version of Engelstein, which Rammstein played with the Hungarian girl’s piano Du Jatekok (who played a few piano arrangements of their songs in the role of the pre-group), on a small stage in the middle of the area, the band members boarded large rubber boats and “sailed” back to the stage at the hands of the audience.

It was really hot on the cold night when fiery tufts and sparks shot up into the sky. It should be noted that these are not new elements in the visual concert component of the group, so perhaps after years of use they were safe for both the musicians and the audience present.

Throughout the concert, which featured songs from this year’s Zeit album and older pieces, Rammstein had a great sound. He was quite loud, as befits and belongs to an industrial-metal group using elements of electronics, while all the instruments were very legible. The riffs and solos of guitarists Paul Landers and Richard Kruspe had the power of starting rockets, the keyboards, and Christian Lorenz’s beats were both tensile and appropriately subtle, as their songs demanded, and the rhythmics, in their indisputable importance, pushed the songs unmistakably forward.

Till Lindemann is a metal chansonnier who sings less and tells more in songs. He turned intonation here and there, but his voice is so charismatic and crucial to the sound of formation that it was impossible to overshadow or miss him in any way.

Rammstein, who have been playing in the same line-up since their inception in 1994, have once again drawn all their concert strengths. They are a band that every rock fan should see at least once in their lives. Their performance is not forgotten.

We also believe that the final track of Adieu, otherwise also the last of the current album Zeit, does not bode well for a long time. The band also announced another European tour next year.
