Last year we had a great time with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and now it’s turn Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War.
The lead developer of Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War is Treyarch. That’s the studio that gave us all the games from the Black Opssubseries. The last game of theirs is from 2018 and was Black Ops 4. That game was no longer as over the top as for example Black Ops 3, but still a lot faster than Modern Warfare. Ultimately, it has been shown for years that the multiplayer of the game is the part for which you get the game. That is also the case for Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War. The multiplayer is very recognizable. You create your character, choose your weapon and equipment and enter battle. You can choose from various types of modes, so there is something for everyone. By making kills and completing goals you score XP, which allows you to level up and unlock new gear. With the weapons themselves you also go up in levels and unlock the well-known attachments. It is well-known, but it is a recipe that continues to fascinate.

In which Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War especially difference compared to Modern Warfare is that score streaks are not reset when you are killed. The points you earn keep counting. You have to do a bit more kills to activate something like a Spy Plane (say your UAV), but it often works, because you continue counting after a death. That way there is less stress, because your streaks do not fall into the water and there may be a little less camming. But the disadvantage is that after a few minutes you are often thrown to death with attack choppers and jet fighters. And you cannot easily shoot this one from the sky with a single rocket.
In addition to the standard modes for twelve players Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War also a mode where you play on slightly larger maps with more players. You can also use vehicles separately. In addition, you have a mode for forty players: Fireteam Dirty Bomb. The forty players are divided into groups of four, where you have the goal to score points on a large map. You do this by making kills, but also by scoring uranium and dumping it at points where a bomb is made. But if someone kills you, you lose that uranium. The result is a lot of action and good chaos. It is also good to know that you respawnt. You can do that from the air, but you can also drop with one of your teammates. Really an ideal mode to try when you are used to playing together in a Battle Royale game.
The zombie mode
Finally know Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War as said a Zombie mode. This is also great to play with friends. And it is also a bit more accessible. You can change your custom load out that you use in multiplayer and start right away that way. With that, some of the magic of the mode has disappeared, but believe me, if you play this with friends and it goes wild, then it’s just great.
