REVIEW: This is what Frölunda can look like in 2021/2022

Frölunda lost its top position from the start of the season, ended up outside the top six and was forced to qualify for the Swedish Championship quarter-final game.

There it came to a stop.

Gothenburg was completely overrun by table runner-up Rögle and went out with 0-4 in matches. Now Frölunda is rebuilding for next season and large parts of the squad already have contracts that cover 2021/2022.

However, there are a few players who probably have to leave Frölunda. Top defender Jesper Sellgren is only on loan from the NHL and will probably test his luck in North America next season.

It will also be interesting to see what happens to Lucas Raymond. The giant talent, who finished fourth in the NHL draft, has an expiring contract with Frölunda and the Detroit Red Wings should be keen to miss the 19-year-old forward. NHL already next season?

After five seasons in Frölunda, Simon Hjalmarsson is also on his way away and the same applies to established players such as goalkeeper Johan Matsson, Robin Alvarez and Jonathan Sigalet.
