After her participation in the Norwegian version of Idol in 2016, Tessa Odden seems to be taking it easy. A bit of a bold move considering she wasn’t really breaking through at the time. Her music can be counted on two hands and there is still no question of a debut album. Yet she knows how to keep us entertained with gems like these new “Reasons”.
On her previous single, where Tessa Odden only had a guitar as an accompaniment, she proved that she likes to keep her music simple. This is no different with “Reasons”, because once again her voice is central. The main instrument is a soft piano, although after a while she also adds a beat that makes the whole sound a bit more electronic than her previous music. Not bad, because here too its own character of simplicity is retained. To enhance the fun in the song, we suddenly also hear a backing choir, although Odden’s voice remains the focus of the single. The Norwegian singer seems to be experimenting more by going in a more electronic direction, but all in all “Reasons” is a cool single with typical Odden elements.
