Review: Ryan Gosling pays tribute to stuntmen in “The fall guy”

In “The fall guy” two supernovae meet, one exploding, the other more imploding. Stuntman Colt Seavers is played by Ryan Gosling, Hollywood’s darling hunk whose ability to deliver a wry smile holds up even though the guy’s bulging muscle veins appear to be on the verge of bursting

The inflated action star Tom Ryder is played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, British girls’ dream idol who, after the breakthrough as John Lennon in “Nowhere boy”, went over to the USA and added a murderous psychotic southern dialect in “Nocturnal animals”. Not a bad career but the romantic hero roles seem to be light years away.
