Rocat is a gaming brand widely known to fans of hardware as Con Pure Mouse. It was founded in Germany, but is currently acquired by Turtle Beach, an American gaming accessory manufacturer famous for its headsets, in March 2019 and is now under Turtle Beach’s gaming gear umbrella. It became a brand.
The newly released 2nd generation Rocat Con Pure Air is a wireless gaming mouse with an ergonomic design that improves grip and lowers weight compared to the previous generation, and boasts high performance even with an ultra-light design of 54g. In addition, this product has the advantage of high convenience. The dual wireless system allows you to quickly and easily switch between Stellar Wireless 2.4GHz, Bluetooth, and wired connections, and the fast charging feature gives you 5 hours of use after just 10 minutes of charging.
The TITAN optical switch is applied, boasting high durability with a lifespan of 100 million clicks, and shows high performance with fast input speed and accuracy. Additionally, for the left and right click buttons, a patented tensioning system is built to improve response time and help with accurate clicking.
This asymmetrical right-handed product is equipped with ROCCAT® OWL-EYE 26K and is a high-performance gaming mouse with 26,000 DPI, 650 IPS, and a maximum acceleration of 50G.
Looking at the exterior, a pure PTRE glide is applied at the bottom that is pre-adjusted to move smoothly, and it supports a detachable USB-C type cable so you can play while charging. Additionally, it has a usage time of up to 125 hours in a Bluetooth environment and up to 43 hours in a wireless 2.4GHz environment, so there is no problem with long-term use.
In addition, various mouse settings and lighting effects can be controlled through Rocat’s dedicated software, SWARM. Let’s check it out for ourselves through the photos.

In most cases, the DPI button is located behind the scroll wheel or provided as a separate button at the bottom, but this product is differentiated by being located on the side. The five levels of DPI set as default are 400-800-1200-1600-3200, and detailed settings of 50 DPI are possible. It supports up to 26000 DPI, allowing it to perfectly respond to ultra-high resolution monitor systems.
In addition, the 2nd generation ROCCAT Con Pure Air lights up the LED only on ROCCAT’s lion logo located on the back, and can be set through ROCCAT’s dedicated software SWARM.

How about the grip?
The mouse grip may vary depending on the size and shape of the individual’s hand and usage habits, so please look at the photo and use it as a reference only. The photos below show the palm grip, claw grip, and finger grip.
▲ Palm Grip
A method of using the mouse, fingers, and palm in close contact by holding the mouse as if wrapping it with the entire finger and palm. It can be said to be the grip method most frequently used by users. As the mouse has an ergonomic design with left and right asymmetry, the palm is in perfect contact with the mouse, providing a satisfactory grip.
▲ Claw Grip
The palm touches the mouse, but the fingers are held erect, making it a grip method that looks like a bird’s claw. The Rocat Cone Pure Air 2nd generation mouse is not as big as you might think. Therefore, in the case of the palm grip described above, there is no major inconvenience in clicking the left and right buttons because the fingers are located at the ends, but as you use it, you end up clicking in the front. However, in the case of the claw grip, it is naturally located in the center of the button. Usually, mice with ergonomic design are specialized for palm grips, but personally, I was more satisfied with the claw grip of the 2nd generation Rocat Cone Pure Air.
▲ Finger Grip
How to hold a mouse using only your fingers. This is a grip method in which the palm is completely removed from the mouse and only the fingers are used when moving the mouse. In the case of large-sized mice, the finger grip is often quite uncomfortable, but the 2nd generation Rocat Cone Pure Air seems to be able to provide satisfaction to users who prefer a finger grip.
Finishing…
So far, I have used the 2nd generation Rocat Cone Pure Air. The dual wireless system allows you to easily switch between Stellar Wireless 2.4GHz, Bluetooth, and wired connections, and the fast charging function allows for 5 hours of use with just 10 minutes of charging, so long-term use is no problem. It can be used up to 125 hours in a Bluetooth environment and up to 43 hours in a wireless 2.4GHz environment.
Above all, what I felt was the biggest advantage while using the 2nd generation Rocat Cone Pure Air was its ultra-light weight of 54g. I’ve used the previous generation as well, but despite its high performance and wireless technology, it’s this light. After experiencing this myself, I was more satisfied than I expected.
Rocat Cone Pure Air 2nd generation wireless. I think it will be a product that will receive a lot of love due to its high level of completion and reasonable price compared to other products in the same class. If you are a user who is thinking about purchasing a wired or wireless premium mouse, why not consider the 2nd generation Rocat Cone Pure Air?
