Review: OnePlus Nord 3 – Is It Worth the Hype?

OnePlus Nord 3 is another representative of the popular series of mid-range smartphones. Is it as successful as its predecessors? And is it worth getting interested in it at all? Let’s check!

For some, the mere existence of the series OnePlus Nord is heresy. And guess what? I feel a bit sorry for these people, because so far, subsequent generations of the Chinese manufacturer’s mid-range devices have turned out to be extremely successful devices. So much so that after this year’s model OnePlus Nord 3 I promised myself a lot. And were my hopes justified?

July 2023

193.5 g, 8.1 mm thick

16 GB RAM

256 GB, (options: 128 GB)

50 Mpix + 8 Mpix + 2 Mpix + 16 Mpix

6.74″ – AMOLED (1240 x 2772 px, 451 ppi)

Mediatek Dimensity 9000, 3,05 GHz

Android v.13.0

5000 mAh, Super Vooc, USB-C

Well, on paper there’s nothing to complain about. The phone is equipped with a processor MediaTek Dimensity 9000we have a display Fluid AMOLED diagonal 6,74” and refreshing 120 Hzas well as a promising triple camera with a main module 50 Mpix. There is also a large 5000 mAh battery with fast power charging 80 W. Just a very solid proposition from the mid-price shelf.

But there are several such well-equipped mid-range cars on the market. Meanwhile, the starting price from PLN 2,499 for the variant with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB of internal memory is noticeably higher than in the case of its predecessors. Will the new Nord be able to defend itself in such a situation?

What’s included?

The contents of the box are not surprising. In addition to the phone, you will find documentation and a key for the SIM tray, as well 80 W charger with a compatible USB-C cable. This is important because Nord 3 uses the proprietary SuperVOOC charging standard and universal power supplies with USB Power Delivery will not help us much here.
