Review of the Medusa 375: A Spacious and Light Four-Bed Caravan Perfect for Family Camping

In the previous parts of our journey with the economical 508 SW behind the Czech trailer caravans, you saw the Ares 310 – a light four-seater compact that caused a great wave of interest. In the meantime, the Turks were able to click on a successor, and the domestic TownOut representative office (Prague, Brno) was able to bring it to the Czech Republic.

Although the Medusa 375 looks powerful, it is a relatively light trailer.

We present to you the Medusa 375, again light, again four-bed, but this time more spacious and well-lit braked caravan with a length of 5.05 meters and a total weight of up to 750 kg. This larger mini-caravan will comfortably accommodate the camping needs of two adults and two more people, especially children.

The exterior is represented by a white-red design and wide glazing, more reminiscent of a ship beautified with diode lighting. The four smaller windows on both sides are also very practical, which are especially appreciated by solo overnighters.

The wide glazing lends the car a flair and, above all, illuminates the interior.

The roof is decorated with a three-meter awning and an unconventionally designed cable outlet, while at the back between the end lamps there is a storage space for longer items, possibly for tools or other equipment. In the front, you will find a bulky laminate box with a soft lid, which requires the sharp finger of a master caravanner to close.

For the Peugeot 508 SW, the light Medusa is a complete raspberry.

Despite the dimensions, the caravan is easy to tow, for the diesel 508 SW it is almost a breeze. Thanks to the low weight and aerodynamics of the trailer, the towing vehicle does not need to worry, however, this is also due to the fact that the built-in diesel engine produces enough torque. We know from practice that our tow truck handles even much heavier caravans without getting out of breath.

Studio for four

The Medusa 375 follows in the footsteps of the Ares 310, so when you open the side doors, two bunk beds measuring 70 x 195 cm peek out at you. There are also lamps by each bed and one 12-volt socket in the middle of the bunk. Nothing prevents you from possibly reading literature or playing mobile games until the early hours of the morning.

The side beds have handy handles/barriers so your children won’t fall out of them.

And now the most important thing – the bathroom. It is not only spacious because you can stand inside, but you can also buy a chemical toilet in it. Even a stout man or woman can really fit inside with all the equipment.

There is a spacious bathroom, possibly a chemical toilet.

For storing food, a large-volume refrigerator will come in handy, above which you will find other storage spaces, a kind of pantry, so to speak. In contrast, there is a kitchen with a sink, two-burner stove, cupboards and an additional work table.

As soon as you take a seat at the table, you will be amazed by the wide opening glazing with curtains. Thanks to this, the caravan feels airy and daylight penetrates almost everywhere. That table is of course foldable and can be turned into a double bed with dimensions of 150 x 195 cm together with the side benches.

You will simply love the wide glazing, especially if you will be in beautiful nature.

The overall finish of the caravan is quite decent apart from certain elements that give away the price/country of origin. However, the putty was not spared here, the seals are not perfectly level, the side panels and the ceiling can bend in places. However, we were pleased with the quality of the wood, which is not completely disposable. It is certainly a cheaper material, but its processing corresponds to the effort to make a reasonably balanced product.

Medusa 375 is not a mobile home without compromises, but at a price from CZK 422,290 including tax it is a small mobile studio for four people. You can tell from it that the Turk saved and took away somewhere, but on the other hand he added in many ways. In addition, with a weight of up to 750 kg, the Medusa can also be towed by ordinary cars, so you do not necessarily need a large and powerful SUV.
