Review of Seasons in D4: Lack of New Content and Easy Progression

Seasons adding story? What do you mean because I’m playing S1 now and I don’t really feel like there’s anything new in it, except for those hearts that take up a lot of inventory space and as far as I can see don’t contribute anything to the questline or my build.

What I do notice is that because I have all the shrines I have a huge boost (my start char already had all stats such as INT and the like at at least 70, just because of the shrines) which makes it really WAY too easy if you don’t immediately go to Tier 2.

For the rest, I (honestly) only experience the season as another whole zipper; go over there and kill that, walk over there and talk to that one, etc. Just like the normal questline was, so to speak.

Don’t get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed playing D4, but if, like me, you don’t want to grind for that uber elite meta build, but just want to get through the storyline, D4 has lost all its appeal after finishing the storyline.

And all those people complaining on the internet that there have been so many nerfs, sorry, but they were also badly needed since there were too many people who could one-shot everything, including uber bosses, on the highest difficulty. If you didn’t have an uber meta build, it was often just spamming one button series indefinitely, until everything was dead. There was hardly any challenge in it….
