Review: Logitech G335 – NWTV

Not everyone is looking for an expensive headset with all options. Things like support for Dolby Atmos and 7.1 surround are nice, but for those who only occasionally wear a headset or do not attach any value to it, it is a waste of money. Fortunately, there are also more affordable options, such as the Logitech G335 that we were allowed to try out recently. Is this a good choice for those looking for an affordable headset?

When unpacking, the most striking feature immediately catches the eye: the colored, elastic headband that should ensure that the headset is comfortable, but above all that it also looks aesthetically unique. The G335 is available in a variety of colors and each color comes with a contrasting band. The nice thing about it is that the strap is replaceable and you can create your own unique combination. In any case, we think it’s a nice find that can just be the deciding factor to go for the G335. The build quality is also excellent and the device can take a beating.

Connecting is a piece of cake and you do it with the mini-jack. That makes it immediately suitable for PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Ideal for those who have several of these devices at home. A disadvantage here is that the cable is attached to the set, which makes it impossible to replace it in the event of a cable break. This also eliminates the possibility of connecting a longer cable, unless you are going to use an extension cable. A missed opportunity.

The most important feature of a headset is of course the sound and here the G335 achieves an excellent score, without excelling in anything. The voices and sound effects of your games sound excellent and, for example, 3D audio on the PlayStation 5 also works well. If you also want to listen to music with it, we would recommend a different headset. We do miss the detail in the sound that is necessary to really enjoy music.

Ultimately, the Logitech G335 is not a bad choice if you are looking for a headset that you can use on multiple devices, offers excellent sound and also has an aesthetically special appearance. However, there are better headsets in the same price range in the audio field and then the question is whether the exchangeable headband will be the deciding factor.
