After a long phase of lockdown, we, the WTT Schauspiel Remscheid, Bismarckstraße 138, are starting a new season again. We will open this with a cheerful inventory of the theater. With ?? Review happened! ?? we invite you to a humorous evening. The dates: Friday 17th September, 7.30 p.m. (PREMIERE) and Saturday 18th September, 7.30 p.m.
About the piece: Thesis: Theater is a place that reflects life in general? the famous and much sought after mirror of society. Basically, this claim has not changed in 2500 years. Since then, the theater has been ascribed an enormous potential for effectiveness. It should educate, create identity, stimulate and last but not least provide entertainment and relaxation. If it succeeds, all of this will even happen in a single visit to the theater! The prerequisite is, of course, that the audience wants that too.
Antithesis: Theater is not relevant to the system! – Incidentally, not just since Corona. The so-called ?? crisis ?? of theater has been publicly discussed for many decades. It seems like the theater has gambled away its moral credit. We invite you to take stock of the history of theater and try to get to the bottom of the question with a wink as to whether theater is relevant or can simply go away.
