The Federal Government Human Resources Authority held an expanded meeting attended by 80 assistant secretaries and executive directors from the support services sectors and future and strategy directors in federal government agencies, during which the he “Ready” initiative for the future of government talent was presented, approved by the Council of Ministers chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed. The initiative team also revised guidance from the UAE government leadership focusing on investment in human capital.
The meeting addressed developments in the implementation of the initiative through its adoption under the evaluation criteria of the Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Excellence in Government Performance in the future readiness criterion and its adoption in the system of human resource enablers in the federal government, and the job performance appraisal system, as well as including the results of the initiative’s implementation in an employee performance rate report. Government agencies receive future skills badges, which are periodically presented to the Council of Ministers.
Laila Obaid Al-Suwaidi, Acting Director-General of the Authority, confirmed that the “Government Talent Future Ready” initiative is one of the main national initiatives for developing and enhancing the government’s human resources, improving its capabilities and qualifying them to keep pace with rapid global change, anticipate future opportunities, and help shape and create a better future for the state.
He says that the initiative, as part of the cybersecurity skills model that was proposed with the launch of the initiative, has achieved a large participation, which has translated into the awarding of the cybersecurity skills badge to about 7,000 participants among federal government employees, noting that the initiative embodies the aspirations and directives of wise leadership regarding the improvement of capital efficiency and stressed that the initiative contributes to increasing the attractiveness of the government workplace federal.
