The Teplicka quintet has been enjoying performances on large stages with visual, light and sound effects for many years. It’s the same this year.

She moved the large platform with the pier, in the front part there was an extended area like a small stage, from the back corridors further into the hall. This allowed her to unusually fill the backstage seats, but it took away the living room.

This option certainly attracts modern attention. However, less joy is given to those who want to enjoy the performance directly in front of the stage and maintain eye contact with the musicians during the performance.

Singer Josef Vojtek, guitarist Ota Váňa and Tomáš Krulich and bassist Milan Špalek were often on the move, sometimes each in a different place. As it was certainly physically difficult, they did not run all the time, so the newcomers had to be modest in their demands to meet them closely. The only sure thing for them was the drummer Radek Hurčík, whose job was given.

The band used the small stage in front of the pier for the songs V pekle sudy válej, Bruce Willis, Starej bar and Stará Lou. However, she did not change them to a milder or louder form, as would be expected from living in a smaller place, but she played and sang them with the usual intensity. Just in a different place.

The band members and their crew always come in with new pictures to perform. Not only because it’s nice to surprise loyal viewers, but also because they enjoyed it with obvious enthusiasm when they worked perfectly.

However, the projections did not get many chances this time, they were saved. On the other hand, the lights played with all the colors, the air was heated by the fires, confetti fell to the ground, and when needed, steam rose to the ceiling.

The program consisted of twenty six songs. The introduction was given by the sharp Brousíme nože, which Kabát dedicated to Czech hockey players years ago. After the final there will be three encores of Banditi di Praga, Pohoda and Kdoví if.

Between the beginning and the end of the concert, songs were tested by time and generations of fans (Burlaci, Na sever, Malá dáma, Bára, Go satane go, Šaman and others), a wide memory of the last album El Presidento, who is two years old (Rumcajs loved Manka) and compositions in which the guitarist Milan Špalek (Houby magický, Valkýra) took over the main singing line.

The mix was different and appealing to fans, as well. It’s just that there could be more space for those from the last album.

Kabát offered his songs to the audience not only with natural rock enthusiasm and enthusiasm, but also very loud. In fact, so high that the singing lines sometimes drowned too much in the stormy onslaught of guitars and rhythms in some places in the hall. Overall, the sound of the concert was of high quality and adequate.

It was an aggressive rock set that was received by the audience with enthusiasm and energy. And it didn’t matter whether they were those who had already heard a lot of music in their lives, representatives of the younger generation, who respect quality craftsmanship and creative talent, or even younger, and many of which Kabat represents as non-violent. a connection to the music of those born before, and for others it may be an inspiration to travel from the dream of picking up the guitar and playing to this reality.

In the O2 arena, no one got in the way, and Kabat’s music united those present. After all, those who have the same taste always gather at one party.
