Pros
Light weight OLED display Non-disruptive cooling Equipment for businesses
Minuses
Unnecessarily highlighted NFC keys for access cards only
When I tested Asus’ first ultra-light ExpertBook three years ago, it was truly a revelation. Extremely light, excellently equipped, pleasantly powerful. This year’s current model, the ExpertBook B9403CVA, is a great follow-up to its concept, moving it into modern times, but perhaps it’s not such a revolution in Asus’ offer anymore.
In reality, the design and targeting of the notebook is very close to the tested Zenbook 13 S OLED this year. Like this Zenbook, the ExpertBook B9403CVA will also offer extreme lightness of just around 1 kg, an OLED display (14″ versus 13.3″ for the Zenbook) and Intel Core 13th generation U-series processors. The notebooks differ in internal construction and component placement, but from the user from a point of view these are very similar machines.
ExpertBook targets businesses by adding an NFC reader to the touchpad, a connector for direct connection to a wired network via the included adapter, and a few little things such as an additional diode in the display lid or activity monitoring in front of the laptop.

Unobtrusive design with snappy keyboard
A business notebook must, by definition, look completely unobtrusive. It should not attract attention and, if possible, not offer big visual differences between expensive and cheap models. In a meeting, it’s primarily about what you have on your laptop, not how it looks.
The matte black design looks great unobtrusively
