“Reversal of Decision to Postpone Summer Time Urged by Minister of Justice”

A statement issued by the Office of the Minister of Justice
“The decision of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to postpone the summer working hours for a period of one month is contrary to the decision of the Council of Ministers issued on August 20, 1998. It is therefore issued by an invalid authority, and is contrary to the principle of legitimacy.
This decision caused confusion in the Lebanese society, and caused disturbances and divisions at the level of the supreme religious references and private media and educational institutions, all of which declared openly that they would not abide by the decision, and it also violated the global time in force for decades, which will cause many problems for all Lebanese companies and huge financial burdens. In a sector already suffering from the repercussions of the stifling economic crisis.
