Three young men have taken on the challenge of participating in Europ’raid in 2021. They are the scrum-half or opener and scorer of the Revelois Rugby club, Alexis Hébrard; from the second row Jean-Baptiste Lapeyre and his brother Benjamin, former professional player trained at Castres Olympique, passed through Toulon and European champion, Racing 92, La Rochelle, Béziers to finish by returning joker for the world cup at Castres Olympique.
It is a young and unique raid, an automobile raid exclusively reserved for Peugeot 205s, to cover 10,000 kilometers through 20 European countries. It is the biggest orienteering race in Europe. Far from a simple trip with friends, the goal is to distribute 70 kg of sanitary, sports and school equipment to underprivileged children in schools and orphanages in Eastern Europe. Essentially, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, North Macedonia and Bulgaria.
“We wish to take part in the 2021 edition which will start on July 31 in La Roche-sur-Yon and end on August 21. We are three people with a common passion: rugby. Shared values, like the spirit of team, mutual aid and surpassing oneself, ”explains Alexis Hébrard. With 300 vehicles engaged, nearly 21 tonnes of equipment will be donated. This adventure raid is already part of national and international media coverage, like the 4L Trophy.
The countries crossed: France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Czechia, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.
