In New York City, Revel has failed with its plan to start an electric ride-hailing service with 50 Tesla Model Ys.
It is difficult to get a license in New York, but Revel wanted to use an exemption with which the city encourages the introduction of electric vehicles. But the competent authority has now refused Revel the license. And instead, Revel proposed to first acquire 50 combustion engines and then transfer their licenses to the Teslas.
