Prince Philip passed away on April 9 this year and the official cause of death has now been published, Mirror writes.
Age is the official cause of death.
It should be recalled that Philip died at the age of 99, a few weeks after returning home after a month-long hospital stay.
Prince Philip is the longest working spouse of the reigning monarch in British history and had spent several decades in royal duties as Elizabeth II’s husband.
Prince Philip had spent the last year in isolation with his wife and service staff due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The funeral ceremony took place on April 17 and, due to Covid-19 restrictions, was attended by 30 people, including Prince Harry, who came to the funeral from the United States.
After his father’s death, Prince Charles took over several of his duties.
