– I was very lucky, says the actress, and continues:
– I grew up in the upper middle class with a roof over my head, food on the table, parents who loved and supported me, a car that was paid for, a job and top marks.
The 50-year-old also says that the role of parent involves balancing yes and no.
– Loving their children sometimes means giving them what they want. Other times it means no. Wealthy people can give their children everything they want, but they usually do not get what they need. Loving a child is much harder if you don’t care. A no requires much more energy. It’s much easier to just say yes.
Furthermore, the actor reveals that he may be the “kind” parent.
– From the grin my wife gives me, it seems I’m the one who says yes most. She’s probably right, he says.
Met at nightclub
The McConaughey pair have been together since 2006. The star actor should have noticed Alves on the town on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles at that time. On the other hand, it wasn’t love at first sight for Alves.
