A middle-aged man with status prisoner in rape case His own child at the Depok Metro Police, AR (51) died after being beaten in his cell. The police also recreated the scene of a beating case involving 8 other detainees.
A number of facts were revealed after the scene recreating process, Thursday (21/9/2023). There were 18 scenes re-enacted by the suspects beating AR in the detention cell.
Reconstruction begins when the victim enters detention, accompanied by a guard officer. The reconstruction includes the moments the victim was beaten until the prisoners told the officers that the victim had fainted.
“(The scene that was recreated) from the moment he entered the detention room was accompanied by officers in detention, and the detainees. Including the head of the room or informant who told the picket that something had happened,” said the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Depok Metro Police, Iptu Sutaryo, to journalists at the Depok Metro Police.
“This addition was made before the day the victim died,” he continued.
Here are 3 things revealed in the re-enactment of the case of the beating of the child rapist:
1. The victim’s private parts were burned with cigarettes
From the reconstruction, it was revealed that the victim had a cigarette burnt on his genitals. This happened the day before he was finally beaten by eight prisoners.
“There was a cigarette burned into the victim’s genitals,” said Sutaryo.
Sutaryo said the cigarette burning occurred on Wednesday, July 5 2023. The victim was abused by two prisoners at that time.
“(The perpetrators) were two people, one using a lighter, one using a cigarette,” added Sutaryo.
2. Demand for ‘Cigarette Money’
Before he was tortured to death, it was revealed that fellow prisoners had asked AR for ‘cigarette money’. The victim was initially ‘interrogated’ by the prisoners shortly after being thrown into the prison cell.
“It started with one of the suspects who asked about problems related to the case he (the victim) was involved in, but the detainee became emotional and then there was also a request for some money from the victim,” explained Sutaryo.
