Al-Marsad newspaper: Egyptian doctor Hassan Atef revealed 5 foods whose repeated heating leads to cancer and stomach and colon problems.

Leafy vegetables

He explained during a video clip that these foods are: “leafy vegetables such as spinach, celery, and carrots, because they contain nitrate, which turns into nitrosamine upon repeated heating. This is a carcinogenic substance and leads to the oxidation of the iron present in spinach, resulting in free radicals that cause infertility and cancer.”

Eggs and rice

He continued: “When eggs are heated repeatedly, the composition of the proteins changes. Likewise, repeatedly heating rice activates bacteria responsible for stomach and colon infections, and leads to bloating, gas, indigestion, constipation, and diarrhea.”

Potatoes and poultry

He added: “Repeatedly heating potatoes activates harmful bacteria. Also, heating poultry changes the composition of the proteins in it and leads to problems in the digestive system.”
