While Apple continues to remain silent about foldable phones, the information reveals the company’s future plans.
Earlier, we shared with you that Apple has obtained multiple foldable phone patents and is working on this issue. In fact, the US company is allegedly working on multiple foldable iPhone prototypes.
New patent appeared
It turned out that Apple has submitted a new patent on foldable display technology to the US Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO).
According to the patent statement, the device will have an accelerometer-like sensor that will detect when the iPhone has dropped.
This sensor will electronically turn off the phone by giving a lock signal, thus minimizing the effect of the drop on the screen.
Although Apple is working on the foldable iPhone, it prefers to follow its competitors for now. Because the company thinks that foldable phones will go out of fashion in the future.
Trusted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revised his earlier prediction for a foldable iPhone launch in 2024. Now Kuo thinks that the earliest date we will encounter such a device will be 2025.
