“Actually, from last year we have seen this phenomenon but it was off and then 2-3 months later it was on again and indeed the areas that we see a lot of are exclusive areas such as Pondok Indah, Permata Hijau, indeed areas where land and selling prices are expensive (in the past). ) and that (now) the drop is quite far,” he said.

Some of the highlighted houses are in elite areas such as Pondok Indah and Permata Hijau. He said that many homeowners wanted their houses to be bought quickly so that the prices offered fell.

“Many of the owners contacted Colliers Residential to sell their properties and that’s what we saw, indeed the price they offered to sell quickly, so they lowered the price very drastically,” he said.

According to him, the phenomenon of selling luxury homes is predicted to continue for the next 2 to 3 years. This prediction also strengthens the difficulty of the property business to recover market prices in elite areas.

“So this will continue (continuously) if we look at it from the residential side and also enter from our partner agents, and brokers, it depends on the homeowner. How much they need the property to sell quickly. If they sell drastically 15-20% yes as the owner of the house is legitimate and that has given rise to the phenomenon behind this,” he concluded.
