Jakarta –
People wait for the police to announce the mafia cooking oil as promised by the Minister of Trade (Mendag) Muhammad Lutfi. Previously, it was announced on March 21, but so far it has not been implemented.
The Director General of Domestic Trade at the Ministry of Trade, Oke Nurwan, explained the reason law enforcement had not announced the cooking oil mafia.
“Mr. Minister and we feel confident that there is enough evidence, it turns out that perhaps the law enforcement agencies are not enough,” said Oke in an RDP with Commission VI DPR RI, Thursday (24/3/2022).
One of the people who were curious was the member of Commission VI DPR RI from the Gerindra faction, Andre Rosiade. He repeatedly asked why the cooking oil mafia had not been disclosed.
“So that’s how it is? The Ministry of Trade feels that there is enough evidence, maybe the version from law enforcement officers is not enough, right?” Andre asked.
“Probably, so it hasn’t been announced yet,” said Okay.
As previously reported, the Trade Minister said that his party and the police had already held the names of the potential suspects for the cooking oil mafia. He said his name would be announced Monday, March 21, 2022.
“Monday will be announced by the police. We will definitely cover it,” said Lutfi in a meeting with Commission VI DPR RI, Thursday (17/3/2022).
In fact, when the time has come, it has not been announced yet and the Minister of Trade has reiterated that the cooking oil mafia has been handed over to the police and will be revealed in the near future.
“This is something that I leave to the police. We guarantee you ladies and gentlemen, within 1-2 days it will be determined who is behind these, these mafias. We must not lose to these mafias,” said the Minister of Trade in working meeting with Committee II of the Regional Representatives Council (DPD), Monday (21/3/2022).
