Except perhaps Endgame, no MCU movie had so many faces all together and so much to tell and introduce how Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The Multiverse, Marvel Zombies, the Illuminati, Professor X, Captain Carter – a remarkable length was expected. Instead the film will be very short: how is it possible?

If we had to list the amount of material from comics, from the past and the future ofMCU as well as from any other universe of cinecomic you can think of, with the second chapter on Doctor Strange we would never finish anymore. Just think of the numerous alternate universes of What if in Doctor Strange 2 anticipated by trailers and promotional posters: from Captain Carter’s shield to Marvel Zombies’ Strange Zombie. They are added new on Professor X in Doctor Strange 2 and what it might bring with it regarding the universe of X-Menrecently added by Disney with the acquisition of Fox.

And then again America Chavez and all the narrative potential opened by the Multiversewhich leads to rumors about the return by the Spider Man of No Way Home. Just think that even Jared Leto opens up multiversal glimpses in his Morbius, which is from Sony Pictures. In short, before you get a headache, it is clear that Doctor Strange 2 it will have so much meat on the fire as it has never been seen before. So much so that in many expected a record duration for the film, which was at least close to the minutes scored by Avengers: Endgame or from the big ensembles of the MCU: in that case we wandered on the hour and passes.

Well, apparently – and we don’t understand how it will be possible to condense everything – the duration of the film will be infinitely shorter, compared to what it promises to show. Only 126 minutes, just over the two canonical hours, as anticipated by Fandango. Now, this is not an official confirmation, but the source is quite authoritative and serious and we don’t believe it communicated the duration without a response. According to some, however, this is a good sign: the demonstration that having someone like as director as director Sam Raimi, not interested in overstretching the broth, will eventually pay off.
