In those vaccinated against COVID-19, frequent sneezing may indicate infection

Researchers have named a symptom of the coronavirus, which often manifests itself in the case of infection after vaccination.

British experts have identified a sign of coronavirus infection, which is found only in vaccinated people. This was reported by the newspaper Express.-

As you know, vaccines provide significant protection against COVID-19: they reduce the severity of the course of the disease and reduce the likelihood of transmission of the virus. However, even after vaccination, there is a risk of infection.

According to the large-scale ZOE COVID Symptom Study, which tracks symptoms of coronavirus in the form of an application, in vaccinated people, the infection manifests itself by frequent sneezing.

It was this initial symptom of the disease that was identified by patients who were vaccinated and subsequently infected with the coronavirus.

“If you got vaccinated and started sneezing a lot for no reason, you need to stay at home and get tested for COVID-19, especially if you live or work with people who are at high risk of infection,” the experts said.

It is noted that sneezing in unvaccinated people is more likely associated with a cold or allergy.

“Although many people with COVID-19 can sneeze, this is not a 100% symptom. It is quite common, especially during the warmer months,” the study authors added.

They also recalled that the most common manifestations of coronavirus are high fever, chills, persistent cough, loss of taste and / or smell, headache, increased fatigue, sore throat, sudden confusion, skin rash, shortness of breath, diarrhea, runny nose.

Earlier it was reported that the Delta coronavirus strain, which was first identified in India, changed the usual picture of the disease… Loss of taste and smell is no longer a key sign of infection.
