Revealed, Snakes Survive Even If Asteroid Attacks Kill Dinosaurs

Researchers at the University of Bath, UK say if the attack asteroid If that doesn’t happen, it’s unlikely that the species we know today are still alive.

“In a collapsing environment food chain In this way, snakes are able to survive and thrive, and they are able to colonize new continents and interact with their environment in new ways,” said study leader Dr Catherine Klein.

“Probably without these asteroid impacts, they wouldn’t be what they are today.”

Research published in Nature Communications, can trace back all living snakes to those who survived the asteroid.

Snakes that thrived at that time included those living underground or on the forest floor, and in fresh water, the scientists said.

They evolved first to Asia before the rest of the world, due to their ability to survive without food for long periods of time and with little competition from other animals.
