CILEGON.BCO.CO.ID – The kidnapper named Herdiyansyah, who took away Adriana Syafitri (4), a toddler from the Jombang Cemara neighborhood, Jombang Wetan Village, Jombang District, Cilegon City, finally admitted his motive when he kidnapped the child of the couple Ariansyah and Nirayana Syahrufina after luring him with snacks at Ramayana Cilegon on Monday 2 January 2023.
To the Wakapolda Banten Brigadier General Pol Sabilul Arif, the perpetrator admitted kidnapping the victim to make money by busking in Jakarta. “Clown with me, I’m the one who becomes a clown,” said Herdiansyah, during a press conference at the Headquarters of the Cilegon Police, Wednesday, January 25, 2023.
He said he deliberately involved the victim while singing so that people would feel compassion and want to give money. While in Jakarta, the perpetrator invited the victim to live as a homeless person. He moved from one stop to another. “He was just singing in Jakarta while he was singing,” he said.
Herdiansyah admitted that the victim was his nephew. Herdiyansyah admitted that initially he went to Cilegon to stay in touch with the victims’ families. The thought of kidnapping came when the perpetrator took the victim to a mall in Cilegon City, then when he saw the bus the perpetrator thought of taking the victim away. “Look at Arimbi, just go straight up,” he said.
Previously, Cilegon Police Chief AKBP Eko Tjahjo Untoro said the perpetrator and victim were found at around 02.00 WIB in the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya. After that, the police immediately took the perpetrator and handed over the toddler to his parents. “Now we have brought the victims and perpetrators to the Cilegon Police, for a follow-up plan we will deepen the perpetrators,” said AKBP Eko Tjahjo Untoro.
Currently, Adriana Syafitri has returned to her parents’ arms. Also present at the case disclosure activity were Deputy Mayor of Cilegon Sanuji Pentamarta, Head of the Cilegon City Prosecutor’s Office Ineke Indraswati, and the PJU of the Cilegon Police. []
