Revealed, Antivirus Pioneer John McAfee Hanged Himself in Spanish Prison

MADRID – Technology entrepreneurs United States of America (USA) John McAfee hanged himself in his prison cell on Wednesday (23/6) after a high court Spanish allowed his extradition to the US on charges of tax evasion.

The shocking news was revealed by his lawyer himself to Reuters.

Known for his eccentric behavior, McAfee, 75, was a pioneer of anti-virus software, introducing his eponymous program in the 1980s.

He has been indicted in Tennessee, USA, on charges of tax evasion. He was also indicted in a cryptocurrency fraud case in New York.

McAfee was arrested at Barcelona airport, Spain, then imprisoned there in October. Prison authorities are investigating the shocking cause of his death.

“The Spanish high court has agreed to extradite McAfee to the United States,” said court documents released on Wednesday.
