The United States has warned Kyiv of the danger of Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory, especially “in depth” in the aggressor country, as there is a risk of escalation.

As noted, representatives of Washington are concerned about the use of weapons supplied by the West for this purpose.
“We have concerns about the escalation and at the same time we do not want to impose geographical restrictions or tie their hands (to Ukraine) too much in the use of what we give them,” said one of the interlocutors.
Another source noted that the United States and Ukraine have a mutual understanding of the extent to which Kyiv can use the weapons supplied to it.
“So far we have a common understanding of borders,” he said.
Earlier, similar concerns were expressed by the adviser to the head of the OP Alexei Arestovich. According to him, the West is in no hurry to transfer long-range weapons to Ukraine, so as not to “anger Putin.”
As UNIAN reported earlier, according to media reports, there are informal agreements between NATO countries to refrain from supplying certain types of weapons to Ukraine. This is due to the risk of a direct military confrontation with Russia, which the Alliance wants to minimize.
