Membership in the Freiburg Region Economic Development Association.
Reute is now also a member of the Freiburg Region Economic Development Association (WRF). The municipal council unanimously decided to join the association, which aims, among other things, to market the locations of its members worldwide.
In addition to the city of Freiburg, the two districts of Emmendingen and Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, 32 municipalities are currently among the members. In addition to location marketing at home and abroad, training and network building, the municipality also expects advantages for the recruitment of skilled workers. An online tool of the association should be used for this purpose. This takes into account the development that the community has gained in importance as a business location in recent years, according to Mayor Michael Schlegel.
The number of employees subject to social security contributions has risen by around 1,000 in the past ten years. The annual fee is currently 30 cents per inhabitant, which is about 855 euros.
